About Tempolio

Tempolio is a software-as-a-service tool for time tracking, project management, and invoicing, built for freelancers and independent professionals. Tempolio is operated by Felipe Tarrech, based in Uruguay. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use Tempolio. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If we learn that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

The service is provided "as is"

Tempolio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Important: Tempolio is not accounting software. It is not certified accounting software, does not replace a professional accountant, and does not provide tax or financial advice.

Financial figures shown in the app, including the Pulse Score, revenue projections, and "ready to invoice" amounts, are estimates calculated from the data you enter. They are meant to help you understand your business at a glance, not to serve as official financial or tax records.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoices, client information, and tax data you enter and send through Tempolio. We recommend reviewing any invoice or financial document before sending it to a client or relying on it for tax purposes.

You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. If you become aware of unauthorized access to your account, you should notify us immediately at support@tempolio.com.

Your data and intellectual property

You retain all rights to the data you enter into Tempolio, including your projects, clients, time entries, and invoices. We do not claim ownership of your content.

We retain all rights to the Tempolio platform itself, including its code, design, brand, and documentation.

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Tempolio service to you. This license ends when you delete your account, subject to the data retention period described in our Privacy Policy.

Data portability and export

You can export your data at any time from your account settings. We believe your data belongs to you, and you should never feel locked in.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data.
  • Incorrect calculations made by the platform.
  • Payments not received from your clients.
  • Service interruptions or downtime.
  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

In no event will our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Tempolio exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Plans, pricing, and the Founding Member rate

Our plans and prices may change. If we change pricing, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. Price changes will not apply retroactively to your current billing period.

The Founding Member price of $8/month is an exception: it is locked permanently for as long as your subscription remains active and continuous. If you cancel your subscription and later re-subscribe, you will lose the Founding Member rate and rejoin at the standard plan price.

We offer a free 14-day trial that does not require a credit card.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel, you keep access to the service until the end of the period you already paid for. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

Account termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You materially violate these Terms of Service.
  • You use the service for fraud, illegal activity, or in a way that harms other users.
  • We are required to do so by law.

If we terminate your account for a violation, we will notify you by email and provide the reason. Unless the violation involves fraud or illegal activity, we will give you at least 14 days to export your data before deletion.

Service discontinuation

If we ever need to shut down Tempolio or discontinue the service entirely, we will:

  • Notify all users by email at least 90 days before the service is discontinued.
  • Provide tools or instructions for you to export all of your data during that notice period.
  • Process refunds for any prepaid subscription time that extends beyond the discontinuation date.

We take this commitment seriously. Your data and your trust are not disposable.

Acceptable use

When using Tempolio, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for fraud or any illegal activity.
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications through the platform.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Tempolio, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms when that failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, power outages, internet disruptions, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. We will also update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of Tempolio after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

Waiver

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term will be effective only if it is in writing and signed by us.

Entire agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tempolio regarding your use of the service. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the República Oriental del Uruguay. If a dispute arises, we ask that both parties first attempt to resolve it amicably within 30 days. If that fails, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montevideo, Uruguay.
